    Images of Rajasthan & the Taj Mahal

    Rajasthan, the Land of Kings, is the quintessential Indian state. Walled cities, forts and palaces are dramatic reminders of the rich cultural heritage and history of the region. Amazing legends from a bygone era relate to tales of romance and heroism of the Rajput warriors who ruled the region for nearly one thousand years. This journey takes you to the fairy-tale cities of Jaipur, Pushkar, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, as well as lesser-known villages such as Nimaj. Stopping at maharajas' palaces, you will also visit the ornate havelis of Shekawati at Mandawa and experience the hauntingly beautiful sand dunes on a camel safari.
